Le Pech is a small hamlet perched on one of the most beautiful edges of the Perigord Noir.

1 mile from Beynac, Le Pech offers a panoramic view of the Dordogne valley, dotted with the medieval castles of Beynac, Les Milandes, Feyrac, Marqueyssac and Monrecour.

Restored in the local tradition of stonebuilt walls, exposed beams and original fireplaces, the 3 cottages of La Croix, Les Terrasses & Le Pêcheur form an ideal base for your outings to the most beautiful sites in the region :

  • villages of Sarlat (6m), La Roque-Gageac (7m),

  • medieval « bastides » of Domme (10m) and Monpazier,

  • the prehistoric sites of Les Eyzies (10m) and Lascaux,

  • and of course the countless castles such as Beynac (1m), Castelnaud (3m), Les Milandes (3m), the gardens of Marqueyssac (2m) which so capture the tourists’ imagination.

You can also wander through the markets of Sarlat and Saint-Cyprien (5m), indulge yourselves in the local cuisine, then run it off on a nearby tennis court or golf course, or go canoeing on the river or horse-riding. For nature lovers and for those who appreciate the authentic rural life, Le Pech is a peaceful place where the sound of goats’ bells or a donkey braying in the Pêcheur Cottage’s field will tempt you out for a long walk along the nature trail running through the hamlet.
